Ideas for great days out
Well obviously we think 'Flowers of Hatch' is worth travelling many
miles
to see on its own but there are lots of other things to see in this part
of the world which all add up to one of those perfect days out in the
English countryside.
First and foremost if you are coming out to see gardens visit Pythouse
walled garden just a few hundred yards up the road. It is a perfect
complement in style to Flowers of Hatch,
and as with us you
can look around a great garden absolutely free. Personally I think
it is an even better example of the English kitchen garden than Heligan
and you
would be mad not to take home some of their wonderful organic produce....
Wardour castle is just a mile or so away and must be one of the most
perfect places for children of all ages. As featured in 'Robin Hood,
Prince of Thieves', it can be climbed over and run round and the age of
chivalry recreated...
